Hey there, it’s Kayla!

Allow me to take you on a journey back in time…

Way back to the beginning of my womanhood. I don’t know about you, but for me this transition brought on a wave of fear and shame- I was only 11 after all- and coupled with constant excruciating pain, it was a rough time.

After many trips to various doctors, ObGyns, and specialists, no one could figure out why I was bed-ridden for a week every single month. So, at the age of 11 they decided to put me on the pill and told me take the pack straight through and skip the sugar pills- no more period and no more pain.

Months later, we received a call from one of the doctors saying she solved my medical dilemma and we booked the surgery for 6 months out.

The day finally comes, I go into surgery then 6 hours later I wake up and they inform me that they had to remove part of my uterus, one fallopian tube and an ovary but on the bright side, the pain should be gone.

Oh and they’re not sure if I’d ever be able to bear children, not necessarily the news you want to hear a week before your 13th birthday.

In the end, they told me to continue to take the pill- but normally this time- just to ‘make sure’ everything’s alright.

Fast forward 10 years, I’m an athlete, completed my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology where I studied the various aspects of health and wellness and yet I was overweight, depressed and numb to everything around me- and still on the pill.

It wasn’t making sense.

So, I embarked on a journey of self healing. And that’s when I discovered Ayurveda, a natural healing system that treats the root cause of individual imbalances and not just suppress symptoms.

This was it, this is when everything changed and my health was transformed. I was finally able to get under 200lbs, my brain fog cleared, there was a new found vibrance and pep to my step!

From that moment, I decided to make it my mission to educate & empower women to become advocates for their wellness and share the gifts that a natural lifestyle can provide.

And here we are!
